Zed MF
2015 Friesian Colt
Bene 476 x Undara MF x Erik 351 Sport

Zed MF is the third colt from our big baroque Erik mare, Undara MF. He was born May 24, 2015. When he was born, we noticed that the tendons on his front legs were contracted, one more so than the other. So on May 25, we took him and Undara in to the vet university to be looked at. Zed's leg straightened up with some bandaging and support, thankfully not needing surgery or drugs to help. Unfortunately, at the same time, his dam developed laminitis, so the beginning of Zed's short life was a bit atypical.

When Undara and Zed finally came home from the vet, they had to live together in a small paddock, away from the rest of the herd. It was not until Zed was weaned that he got to spend time with other horses and begin to learn how to truly be a horse. Now that he is home with his owner/mom Deb and his "sister" Drum Horse Rowan, Zed gets to spend his time playing with another baby and growing up the way he should.

We are very happy that they are located so close to us so we can see this boy grow up!
